Dr Schrag achieved his MD degree at Queen’s University, Kingston. He completed his Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Calgary and went on to do a microsurgery fellowship at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei. He has over 20 years of experience treating complex facial and breast deformities following cancer and trauma. He is passionate about helping those less fortunate and spends time every year volunteering on surgical missions to help children with cleft lip and palate in places such as Zimbabwe, Pakistan and the Phillippines. Dr Schrag has won the University of Calgary Department of Surgery awards for his teaching and outreach work.
Dr. Schrag’s interests include facial aesthetics and function. He founded the Calgary Facial Nerve Clinic and is actively researching new surgical methods to improve facial appearance. He is passionate about finding the best ways to make patients feel confident and happy about their facial aesthetics.
